Man charged with several break and enters in Woolloomooloo

A man will face court today after he was charged with three break and enters at Woolloomooloo overnight, NSW Police say.

Just after 12.30am today, police will allege a man climbed over a second storey balcony at a block of units in Dowling Street.

The man allegedly attempted to gain entry into the unit through the glass sliding doors, however the occupants were disturbed and the man left.

He then allegedly climbed over the balcony next door, gaining entry and stealing cash.

The man then allegedly returned to the other unit and again attempted to gain access through the sliding window. The occupant noticed the man and tried to prevent him entering.

He eventually gained access and a confrontation occurred with further occupants from the unit. The man was forced from the unit.

Police patrolled the area arrested and arrested a 25-year-old man. He was taken to Kings Cross Police Station and charged with three counts of aggravated break and enter and commit indictable offence.

He was refused bail to appear in Parramatta Local Court today.
