Man critical after trail bike crash in Unanderra

A man has been taken to hospital in a critical condition after a crash at Unanderra today., NSW Police say

About 11am (Thursday 15 November 2018), emergency services were called to Waples Road, after reports an unregistered trail bike and a Toyota Hilux collided.

Police have been told the trail bike was being ridden around a nearby sports field prior to the crash.

The rider, a 36-year-oldman, was thrown from the bike and suffered serious injuries.

He was treated by paramedics and airlifted to St George Hospital in a critical condition.

The Toyota driver, a 35-year-old man, was uninjured. A 24-year-old female passenger was treated at the scene for minor injuries.

Officers from Lake Illawarra Police District attended and have commenced inquiries into the crash.

Investigations are continuing and any witnesses or anyone with dash-cam footage are urged to come forward.
