Man critically injured after being hit by car at Kingsford, NSW

A man has been left in a critical condition after being hit by a car at Kingsford, in Sydney’s eastern suburbs, this afternoon, NSW Police say.

Around 3pm (Saturday 18 November 2017), police were called to Gardners Road, near the intersection of Maitland Avenue after reports of the crash. .

When they arrived on scene police found a 68-year-old man being treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics.

The man was taken to St Vincent’s Hospital for further treatment.

The 17-year-old male driver of the Honda sedan stopped after the crash. He was taken to Prince of Wales Hospital for mandatory testing. A roadside breath test conducted at the scene returned a negative result.

Inquiries into the events leading up to the crash are still continuing.
