Man Dead After Mobile Home Fire At Nowra

A man has died and another man is in a serious condition following a mobile home fire in the state's south this evening.

Just after 10pm (Wednesday 12 August 2026), emergency services were called to a tourist park on Greens Road, Greenwell Point – about 15km east of Nowra – following reports of a fire.

Officers attached to South Coast Police District attended and located a mobile home well alight.

Fire and Rescue NSW attended and extinguished the fire before locating a body – believed to be that of an elderly man – inside the property.

He is yet to be formally identified.

Another man was also treated at the scene for serious burns and smoke inhalation before being taken to hospital in a serious condition.

A crime scene has been established and an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the fire is underway.

No suspicious circumstances have been identified at this time.

A report will be prepared for the information of the NSW Coroner.
