Man dies after being found critically injured - Rushcutters Bay

A man has died after being found critically injured at Rushcutters Bay a short time ago.

About 1.50pm (Wednesday 12 May 2021), emergency services were called to an apartment block on Kings Cross Road, following reports of an alleged assault.

Officers from King Cross Police Area Command attended, along with NSW Ambulance paramedics, and found a man unresponsive in a basement parking area.

Paramedics commenced CPR on the man, before he was taken to St Vincent's Hospital in a critical condition.

The man died a short time later.

Following inquiries, a man was arrested at the scene and taken to King Cross Police Station, where he is assisting officers with their inquiries.

A crime scene has been established and an investigation has commenced into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
