Man dies after being hit by car in Concord

A man has died after being hit by a car at Concord this morning, NSW Police say.

About 7:20am (Sunday 16 September 2018), a 29-year-old man was struck while crossing Parramatta Road at the intersection of Broughton Street.

He was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics but died at the scene.

He is yet to be formally identified.

Officers from Burwood Police Area Command and the Crash Investigation Unit established a crime scene and have commenced inquiries into the incident.

The driver, a man believed to be aged 35, wasn’t injured but has been taken to Concord Hospital for mandatory testing.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.

Anyone who witnessed the incident, or has dashcam footage of the crash, is urged to come forward.
