Man dies after being struck by car - Fairfield East

A man has died after being struck by a car at Fairfield East.

About 2.50pm today (Saturday 13 February 2021), emergency services were called to The Horsley Drive at Fairfield East after reports a man had been hit by a car.

The man, who was standing on the footpath at the time, died at the scene. The man is yet to be formally identified but is believed to be aged 67.

The driver of the vehicle, aged in his 50s, has been taken to Liverpool Hospital for mandatory testing.

Officers from Fairfield City Police Area Command established a crime scene and an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident is underway.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
