Man Dies After Bike And Truck Crash - Near Griffith

A man has died following a bike and a small truck crash in the state's south.

About 7am today, police were called to the intersection of Boonah street, Noorebah Avenue and Kooba Street, Griffith following reports a cyclist and street sweeper collided.

Officers attached to Murrumbidgee Police District responded and were told the street sweeper was turning from Boonah into Kooba Street, when a male cyclist collided with the side of the street sweeper.

NSW Ambulance responded, however the man - believed to be in his 70s – died at the scene.

The 66-year-old male driver of the truck was not injured and was taken to Griffith Hospital for mandatory testing.
