Man dies after collision at Blacktown

A motorcyclist has died following a crash near Blacktown earlier today.

About 3.00pm (Sunday 14 February 2021), emergency services were called to the intersection of Doonside Road and Eastern Road at Doonside, following reports of a collision between a motorcycle and a silver Mazda wagon.

The motorcyclist died at the scene. While he has not yet been formally identified, police believe he is aged in 40s.

The driver of the Mazda did not suffer any injuries and was taken to Blacktown hospital for mandatory testing.

Officers attached to Blacktown Police Area Command attended and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Officers will prepare a report for the information of the Coroner.
