A man has died after a two-vehicle crash in the state's north west.
About 4pm today (Tuesday 24 June 2025), emergency services were called to the Newell Highway, Boggabilla, following reports a truck, and a car towing a caravan, had collided.
The driver of the car – a 79-year-old man – died at the scene. The passenger – a 75-year-old woman – was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Moree Hospital in a serious condition.
The driver of the truck – a 41-year-old man – was uninjured and taken to Goondiwindi Hospital for mandatory testing.
Officers attached to New England Police District established a crime scene and the Crash Investigation Unit have commenced an investigation into the incident.
A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
