A man has died following a crash at a mine site in the Hunter Valley.
Just after 1pm today (Monday 3 August 2026), emergency services were called to a coal mine on Watt Street, Warkworth (approximately 23km west of Singleton), following reports of a crash.
Officers attached to Hunter Valley Police District attended, along with Fire and Rescue NSW and located a man who had been struck by a truck.
The man – believed to be aged in his 50s - died at the scene.
He is yet to be formerly identified.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
