Man dies after crash - South Coast

A man has died following a single vehicle crash on the South Coast today.

Just before 10am (Friday 12 January 2024), emergency services were called to Crooked River Road, Gerroa, after reports a car had left the roadway and hit a tree.

The driver, a 60-year-old man, was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics on scene before being taken to Shoalhaven Hospital, where he later died.

Officers attached to Lake Illawarra Police District have commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
