Man dies after drowning at Yamba

A man has died following a drowning on the state's Mid North Coast.

About 12.50pm today (Friday 5 May 2023), emergency services were called to a community pool on Angourie Rd Yamba, following report of a man unconscious after being pulled from a swimming pool.

Officers attached to Coffs/Clarence Police District attended and commenced CPR before the arrival of NSW Ambulance paramedics, however he was unable to be revived.

The man is yet to be formally identified, however is believed to be aged in his 20's

Officers attached to Coffs/Clarence Police District established a crime scene and commenced inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
