Detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal house fire in Heidelberg West this morning.
Emergency Services were called to the Wewak Parade home following reports of the fire about 12.50am.
Sadly, a man found inside the property died at the scene.
A crime scene has been established and it expected detectives from the Arson and Explosives Squad and an arson chemist will attend the property this morning.
