Man Dies After Helicopter Crash At Bankstown

A man has died following a helicopter crash in Sydney's southwest.

About 1.30pm today (Friday 3 October 2025), emergency services were called to Birch Street, Bankstown, following reports of a helicopter crash.

A man was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics; however, he died at the scene.

He is yet to be formally identified.

A 19-year-old man was treated for serious injuries before being taken to Liverpool Hospital in a critical condition.

A crime scene has been established by officers attached to Bankstown Police Area Command and an investigation into the cause of the crash will be undertaken by the Australian Transport Safety Bureau (ATSB).

A report will be prepared for the information of the coroner.
