Man dies after motorcycle crash in Footscray

A man has died in hospital following a motorcycle crash in Footscray last month.

The crash happened when the motorcycle rider and pillion passenger collided with a car, attempting to turn onto Droop Street from Ballarat Road, shortly after 8pm.on Saturday 11 May.

The motorcycle rider, a 26-year-old man from Maidstone, was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries and died on Saturday 1 June.

The pillion passenger, a 24-year-old man from Sunshine, was taken to hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the car, a 24-year-old St Albans man, was not injured and stopped to assist the injured parties.
