Man Dies After Motorcycle Crash Near Canowindra

A man has died following a single motorcycle crash in the state's central west.

About 1:30pm today (Wednesday 15 April 2026), emergency services were called to Cargo Road, Cargo, 14km north of Canowindra, following reports of a crash.

Officers attached to Chifley Police District, with the assistance of NSW Rural Fire Service attended and found that a motorcycle had left the road and crashed in a paddock.

The rider of the motorcycle died at the scene.

He is yet to be formally identified; however, he is believed to be a 48-year-old man.

Police have commenced an investigation into the cause of the crash, and a report will be prepared for the information of the coroner.
