Man dies after pulled from ocean in Cronulla

A man has died after he was pulled from the ocean in Sydney’s south this morning, NSW Police say.

Just after 9am (Wednesday 3 October 2018), emergency services were called to Wanda Beach, Cronulla, after a member of the public pulled a man from the water.

A bystander commenced CPR before paramedics arrived.

The man, believed to be aged in his 40s, died at the scene.

Police from Sutherland Shire Police Area Command have been told the man was swimming at the location.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
