Man dies after two-vehicle crash near Nowra, NSW

A man has died and another man has been injured after a two-vehicle crash near Nowra this afternoon, NSW Police say.

The crash happened about 3pm (Friday 26 October 2018), when a small tanker truck travelling west and a utility travelling east collided on Bolong Road, Coolangatta.

The driver and sole occupant of the truck, a man aged in his 60s, died at the scene.

The driver and sole occupant of the utility, a man aged in his 50s, was taken to Wollongong Hospital with suspected leg and abdominal injuries. He will also undergo mandatory testing.

Police from South Coast Police District attended and established a crime scene.

The road remains closed as officers from the Crash Investigation Unit examine the scene.

Anyone with information or dash cam vision is urged to come forward.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
