Man dies following electrocution in Punchbowl

A report will be prepared for the Coroner following the death of a man in Sydney's south west overnight.

About 10.30pm (Saturday 5 January 2019), emergency services were called to a home on Acacia Avenue, Punchbowl.

Emergency services arrived and located the body of a man in the driveway of the home.

Officers from Bankstown Police Area Command established a crime scene and commenced inquiries.

Initial investigations suggest the 38-year-old man was electrocuted by a fallen powerline outside the premises.

The man was declared deceased at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics.

The incident is not being treated as suspicious.
