Police and emergency services are currently on scene following a crash in Everton Upper this morning., Victoria Police say
It believed the car left the Beechworth-Wangaratta Road and struck a tree about 11.20am.
The male driver of the vehicle was treated and the scene but died before being transported to hospital.
A female passenger is currently being treated and will be airlifted to Melbourne
