Man dies in crash at Dunneworthy

A man has died following a single-vehicle crash at Dunneworthy last week.

It is believed the driver was travelling along the Pyrenees Highway when his car veered off the road and struck a tree about 11.15am on Friday 26 April.

The driver and sole occupant, an 82-year-old Elmhurst man, was trapped for some time before dying at the scene.

The exact cause of the crash is yet to be established and the investigation is ongoing.
