Man dies in crash - Central Coast

Officers from the Metropolitan Crash Investigation Unit are investigating the circumstances following a fatal crash on the Central Coast yesterday.

Shortly after 4pm (Wednesday 16 October 2019), emergency services were called to Woy Woy Road, Woy Woy Bay, after reports two cars collided head-on.

The 52-year-old driver of one vehicle, a Toyota Hiace van, suffered multiple fractures and was airlifted to Royal North Shore Hospital where he remains in a serious condition.

The 51-year-old male driver of the second vehicle, a Holden Barina, suffered fatal injuries.
