A man has died in a house fire in Tennant Creek today.
Just before 11am fire and emergency crews were notified by a nearby resident of smoke coming from a home in Ambrose Street.
Emergency service crews arrived on scene where the back room of the home was well alight. NT Fire and Rescue crews managed to extinguish the fire before it could cause damage to nearby structures.
Police can confirm the body of a man was found inside the dwelling, but are not treating the death as suspicious.
Fire Investigators will travel to Tennant Creek today to determine the cause of the fire.
