Man dies in truck and train collision South Geelong

A man has died following a collision in South Geelong this morning.

Police and emergency services were called to a collision between a truck and a V/Line train near Barwon Terrace about 6.40am.

The driver of the truck received life-threatening injuries and was treated by responding paramedics.

Sadly the man, who is yet to be identified, died at the scene.

The train driver was uninjured.

There were no passengers onboard the train at the time.

The circumstances surrounding the collision are yet to be determined and the investigation is ongoing.
