Man dies when car rolls north of Wollongong

A man has died when his car left the road and rolled north of Wollongong.

About 8.20am today (Monday 1 January 2024), emergency services responded to reports a vehicle had rolled in the southbound lanes of Appin Road, Maddens Plains.

The male driver and sole occupant of the vehicle died before the arrival of emergency services.

Officers from Wollongong Police District established a crime scene that was examined by specialist police.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
