Man extradited from South Australia over historical fraud matters, NSW

A man will appear in court tomorrow after being extradited from South Australia for outstanding warrants relating to fraud offences dating back to 2002, NSW Police say.

Following extensive inquiries both within NSW, interstate and overseas, a 58-year-old man was arrested in South Australia on Saturday 4 March 2017.

Detectives travelled to Adelaide where they applied for, and were granted, the man’s extradition back to NSW.

The man was flown to Sydney today (9 February 2017), in the company of NSW detectives and was taken to Mascot Police Station where he was charged by virtue of four warrants.

He will appear at Waverley Local Court tomorrow (10 February 2017) where he is expected to be charged with a string of fraud related offences.
