Man facing court after Darling Harbour assault, NSW

A man will face court tomorrow after the alleged assault of another man in Darling Harbour on Friday.

About 10.30pm on Friday 24 November 2017, emergency services were called to King Street Wharf, following reports a man had been repeatedly assaulted by another man outside an aquarium.

On arrival, police from Sydney City Local Area Command found a 30-year-old man unconscious.

He was taken to St Vincent’s Hospital in a critical condition, suffering head injuries.

As a result of inquiries by police from Sydney City Local Area Command, a 26-year-old man was arrested at an address in Northmead, NSW Police say.

He was charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm. Police will allege the pair are known to each other.

The 26-year-old Northmead resident was refused bail prior to his appearance at Central Local Court tomorrow (Monday 27 November 2017).
