Man in court over sexual act on train at Blue Mountains

A man will appear in court today charged over allegedly performing a sexual act on a train in the Blue Mountains.

Just after 10.30pm on Saturday 5 September 2020, a 22-year-old woman boarded a west-bound train at Strathfield Railway Station.

Police have been told a man entered the carriage at Blaxland and allegedly performed a sexual act in front of her.

The woman exited the train at Springwood and police were notified.

Following inquiries by officers from the Police Transport Command, a 22-year-old man was arrested at a Faulconbridge home about 7.30am on Monday 12 October 2020.

He was taken to Springwood Police Station and charged with carry out sexual act with another without consent.

The man was granted strict conditional bail to appear at Penrith Local Court today (Thursday 19 November 2020).
