Man in critical condition after motorcycle crash south of Coffs Harbour

A motorcyclist is in a critical condition following a motorcycle crash south of Coffs Harbour.

About 6.30am today (Thursday 1 April 2021), emergency services were called to the Pacific Highway at Raleigh, following reports a motorcycle travelling south had hit a fallen tree before leaving the roadway a short distance away.

Upon arrival, police located a male rider – believed to be aged in his 60s – suffered serious head injuries.

He was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Coffs Harbour Health Campus; he's since been airlifted to John Hunter Hospital in a critical condition.

Officers attached to Coffs/Clarence Police District established a crime scene and have commenced inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
