Man in critical condition after single vehicle crash - Hay

A man is in a critical condition following a single vehicle crash in the state's south west earlier today.

About 11.30am (Wednesday 19 February 2020) emergency services were called to Maude Road, Hay following reports of a crash.

A white Ford Falcon was found approximately 40 metres east of the road, with the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle found in a critical condition nearby.

Police believe the vehicle left the road and the driver was ejected from his seat, before coming to rest approximately 10 metres from the car.

Officers from Murrumbidgee Police District attended and administered first aid until NSW Ambulance paramedics arrived.

The man, believed to be aged in his mid-70s, was taken to Hay Hospital in a critical condition, with suspected head injuries.
