Man in hospital after serious assault at Craigmore , SA

A man is in the Royal Adelaide Hospital with serious head injuries after he was assaulted by a group of men at his Craigmore home earlier this afternoon, according to SA Police.

Just after 12.30pm, a group of up to five men arrived in two cars at a Kanimbla Crescent home and assaulted the male occupant inside the premises.

The 29-year-old victim was taken by ambulance to the Lyell McEwin Hospital for treatment, but he was transferred shortly after to the Royal Adelaide Hospital with serious head injuries. His condition is not considered life threatening.

A woman also inside the house at the time of the assault wasn't injured.

Elizabeth CIB Detectives are investigating the incident which is believed to be a targeted attacked.

The male suspects left in the two vehicles described only as VT Commodore sedans.
