Man Injured In Firearm Incident At Christie Downs

Police are investigating after a man was injured at Christie Downs overnight.

Police and emergency services were called to home on Nadia Crescent about 1.45am on Tuesday 19 May following reports a man had sustained a gunshot wound to his leg.

The 27-year-old Evanston man was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Southern District detectives and Crime Scene Investigators attended the scene and seized a homemade "pen gun" from the address.

Police are yet to obtain a statement from the injured man, and investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incident are ongoing.
