Man killed after being struck by vehicle in St Helena

Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are investigating a fatal hit-run collision in St Helena this morning.

It is believed a man was crossing St Helena Road, near the intersection of Wallowa Road, when he was struck by a vehicle shortly before 2.51am.

The male pedestrian, who is yet to be formally identified, sadly died at the scene.

The driver of the vehicle failed to stop and left the scene.

The exact circumstances of the crash are yet to be determined and the investigation is ongoing.
