A man has died following a single-vehicle crash in Koo Wee Rup this morning.
Emergency services were called to Ballarto Road at McDonalds Drain Road East about 6.30am when passing motorists noticed a vehicle that had crashed through a barrier and left the roadway.
The sole occupant of the white Ford station wagon, a 37-year-old Frankston North man, died at the scene.
Cardinia Highway Patrol are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
Investigators are appealing for anyone who saw the vehicle travelling between Morewell and Koo Wee Rup between 4am and 6.30am to come forward and assist police with their investigation.
