A 47-year-old man reported missing from Marrickville has this morning been found after a member of the public recognised him from a NSW Police geo-targeted text message.
Officers from Inner West Police Area Command began searching for the man after he went missing yesterday afternoon (Saturday 29 October 2022).
As part of investigations, a geo-targeted text message was issued to the area overnight and, about 7am today (Sunday 30 October 2022), the man was found near Sydenham Train Station by a member of the public who recognised him from the description and photo in the text.
He is now being checked at hospital as a precaution and will be reunited with his family soon.
