Man missing in water in Shoalhaven

A search is set to resume tomorrow morning for a man who went missing while swimming in the Shoalhaven region today, NSW Police say.

Emergency services were called to a camping ground at Coolendal, west of Nowra, about 3pm today following reports a 23-year-old man had gone missing while swimming in the Shoalhaven River.

Police joined other emergency services to conduct an extensive search of the area but at this time he has not been located.

The search was suspended about 8pm but is set to resume early tomorrow.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
