Man's body found after incident at Golden Grove, South Australia

Police are currently at the scene of an incident at Golden Grove where a man has died.

Just before 11.30am on Saturday 31 August, patrols were called to the intersection of Marie Clark Drive and Bicentennial Drive, after a man allegedly armed with a knife and covered in blood, jumped into the rear of a small red sedan and asked the driver to take him to hospital.

The driver of a 4WD travelling behind who witnessed the man get into the car and fearing for that driver's safety, deliberately drove into the small red sedan.

The man got out and walked off and was found a short time later collapsed in Jacaranda Grove. Despite the efforts of paramedics, the man died.

At this time police need to conduct further investigation to determine if the death is suspicious or if the man died as a result of self-inflicted injuries.

Motorists are advised that Jacaranda Grove is currently closed to all traffic.

Neither of the drivers were physically injured and anyone who witnessed this incident and has yet to speak with police is urged to call the Police Assistance Line on 131444.
