Man seriously injured during Heidelberg aggravated home invasion

Northern Division Serious Crime Taskforce detectives are hoping to identify four men following an aggravated home invasion in Heidelberg last week.

It's believed the offenders attended a Powlett Street apartment complex in a white Subaru Liberty wagon about 1am on Tuesday, 2 February.

The group, believed to be armed with a firearm and other weapons, smashed through the front door of the complex and approached an apartment inside before kicking open its front door.

Two occupants, who were sleeping at the time, were approached by the offenders who pulled the male victim from his bed.

The 38-year-old man was assaulted with a steering wheel lock while a 36-year-old woman was verbally threatened with a weapon.
