Man sexually assaults teenage girls in Craigieburn

Fawkner Sexual Offences and Children Abuse Investigation Team detectives are appealing for public assistance after a man sexually assaulted two teenage girls on two occasions in Craigieburn this month, Victoria Police say.

The two 16-year-old girls were sitting at a bus stop on Hothlyn Drive at the Craigieburn Railway Station between 11am-12pm on Monday 2 January.

A man has approached and sat between the girls, taking a "selfie" with them on his phone before sexually assaulting one of the girls and leaving.

The man has again approached the same two victims in Craigieburn Gardens on Craigieburn Road about 8.30pm on Friday 20 January.

He has then sexually assaulted both girls before fleeing.

Investigators have released a computer-generated image of a man they believe can assist with their enquiries.

He is perceived to be of Indian sub-continental appearance, aged in his 60s and about 160cm tall, with a slim build and heavy accent.

On both occasions he was wearing a blue hat, dark-coloured top and khaki pants.

Anyone who has information about the incident or the man’s identity is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
