Man stabbed in chest - Darlinghurst

A man has been taken to hospital after being stabbed in Darlinghurst this afternoon.

About 1pm today (Wednesday 4 September 2019), emergency services were called to Liverpool Street, Darlinghurst, following reports a man had been stabbed.

The 18-year-old was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics for stab wounds to his chest, before being taken to St Vincent's Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

Officers from Kings Cross Police Area Command have established a crime scene and commenced inquiries.

A local school was locked-down as a precautionary measure and has since been re-opened.

No arrests have been made and a search is underway for two men aged between 18-25 years.

Investigations are continuing.
