Man Stabbed On Bus - Marrickville

Police are searching for a man following an assault in Sydney's Inner West.

Just before 1am today (Thursday 23 October 2025), emergency services were called to Addison Road, Marrickville, following reports of a stabbing.

On arrival, officers attached to Inner West Police Area Command were told a passenger – 51-year-old man –had been stabbed in the arm and hand by another man, who exited the bus and left the scene.

The two men are not believed to be known to each other.

He was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics and taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

Police established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the incident.
