Man stunned during carjacking in Keiraville

Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage after a man was attacked with an electronic stun device during a carjacking in Wollongong, NSW Police say.

About 9:40am (Tuesday 11 December 2018) a 21-year-old man was approached by another man after parking his grey Volkswagen Golf on Robson Road, Keiraville.

Police have been told the unknown man demanded the driver hand over his car keys and wallet before stunning him three times with an electronic stun device.

The man drove off in the Volkswagen Golf, with NSW registration DJS 296 and was last seen heading southbound on Robson Road.

A blue Toyota Aurion, with NSW Registration YGQ 79J was also seen leaving the area, believed to be driven by a woman.

Police from Wollongong Police District would like to speak with a man and a woman who might be able to assist with their inquiries.

The man has been described as being of Indian Sub-Continental in appearance, approximately 185cm tall, with a solid build, and dark facial stubble.

He was wearing a black shiny long sleeve sports jacket.

The woman was not further described.

As inquiries continue, anyone with information, dashcam footage, or who sights the two vehicles is urged to come forward.
