A man wanted on an outstanding warrant has been charged following public appeals for information earlier this month.
Just after 7am today (Thursday 15 October 2019), detectives from the State Crime Command's Child Abuse and Sex Crimes Squad arrested a 64-year-old man near a golf course at Little Bay.
The man was taken to Maroubra Police Station and charged with an outstanding warrant for alleged sexual offences.
Police will allege in court the man committed a number of sexual acts on a train earlier this month.
Police will further allege the man was in possession of sexually-explicit images.
The man was refused bail and will appear at Waverley Local Court today (Thursday 15 October 2019).
The Child Abuse and Sex Crimes Squad is comprised of detectives who are specially trained to investigate matters against children and adults, including sexual assault, serious physical abuse, and extreme cases of neglect.
