Police are investigating after an injured man was found at Ashfield today, NSW Police say.
About 12.20pm today, emergency services attended Charlotte Street and found a 50-year-old man with a back wound.
He was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital.
Officers from Ashfield Local Area Command conducted a search of the surrounding area but nothing was located.
At this stage it’s not known how or where the man was injured.
Inquiries are continuing and anyone with information is urged to come forward.
Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
