Managing Bias Working Party - Expressions of Interest

The Managing Bias Working Party has been established to evaluate the levels of diversity and inclusion in the surgical workforce and examine strategies and best practice to manage that could be adopted to manage bias in surgery. The goals of this Working Party closely align with the RACS Strategy, including the 2022 Buidling Respect Improving Patient Safety Action Plan.

The Working Party will examine how biases impact different stages of a surgical career, review existing bias mitigation strategies and develop tools, processes and strategies to guide the surgical community to manage biases effectively.

Expressions of interest are called for members from RACS Fellows, Trainees and the wider community who can provide insight into how to diminish bias in Surgery.
