Western Australia's iconic Channel 7 Mandurah Crab Fest has kicked off, reeling in visitors for a weekend of food, entertainment, and family-friendly experiences, celebrating the region's world-famous blue manna crab.

Taking place from 14-15 March 2026, the event has netted a new three-year funding agreement from the Cook Government through Tourism Western Australia, locking the festival in until 2028.

Past editions of Crab Fest have attracted crowds of more than 100,000 people, delivering strong economic benefits for the Peel region and supporting local businesses, accommodation providers, and hospitality venues.

The 2026 program features free live music, cooking demonstrations, and children's entertainment, complemented by a range of premium ticketed experiences designed to attract visitors from across Western Australia.

The event is supported by Tourism WA's Regional Events Program, which is funded by Royalties for Regions and aims to bring more people to the region, create visitor spend, and add vibrancy.

Mandurah Crab Fest forms part of the Cook Government's broader events strategy to diversify the State's economy by driving increased out-of-State visitation and delivering a strong, year-round calendar of diverse events to support the growth of the tourism sector.
