The MEC is thrilled to launch its exciting 2026 Season, featuring a diverse program of performances designed to entertain, inspire, and connect the local community.
From world-class music and theatre, to family-friendly shows and comedy, this year's line-up promises something for everyone. The new program will be revealed at a ticketed launch event at the MEC, hosted by Arthur Hull, the witty and charismatic performer and creator of the upcoming comedy Flop. Guests will enjoy a sneak peek at what's coming up, complimentary bites and bubbles, and exclusive presale access to the 2026 season.
Planning for the upcoming season has been shaped by valuable feedback from a recent audience survey.
"We were delighted to hear from hundreds of people towards the end of last year, both locals and those further afield, about what makes a great night out," explained Alex Mills, MidCoast Council's Manager of Libraries, Community and Cultural Services.
"This input will help guide future programming to ensure the MEC continues to deliver quality live entertainment that meets the needs and desires of our audiences."
Survey respondents were entered into a prize draw, and congratulations go to Deb Lewis of Hallidays Point,winner of the coveted Golden Ticket, a $1,000 MEC voucher to enjoy throughout the year.
