AECOM, the world's trusted infrastructure consulting firm, today announced the appointment of Mark Lampard as Grid Modernisation Leader for Australia and New Zealand. Based in Melbourne, Mark will support clients in upgrading and expanding electricity network infrastructure — an essential step to achieving a transition to renewable energy sources and decarbonisation.

A once-in-a-century transformation, the transition to renewable energy sources will require grid modernisation, a process of upgrading the electricity grid to make it more efficient, resilient, and adaptive to technological changes in power generation, networks, and electrical demand.
