Five Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) crews are currently on scene at multiple grass fires burning along the Bruce Highway at Marlborough. These fires broke out around 1.30pm today and are posing no threat to property at this time. Firefighters are working to extinguish the fires. Smoke is affecting the area, including the highway. Motorists should drive with caution and to the conditions. Residents are asked to close windows and doors and if suffering from a respiratory condition, keep medications close by. If residents are concerned their property is under threat, they are advised to call Triple Zero (000) immediately.
